At Newcast, we do remote live streams all the time because of lockdowns across Australia, and we want you to look your absolute best when presenting from home. So here are some tips on how to improve how you look on your next Zoom, whether it be a work meeting, or you’re presenting remotely on one of our webinars.
Animation and infographic projects can be as simple or as complex as you need, to illustrate the narrative you’re trying to tell. You also don’t have to be an expert to master the process of animation, thanks to online animation packs. But here a few tips I’ve learnt that add that extra element to your animation, to take it to the next level.
Our second favourite thing at Newcast is telling stories – our favourite thing is having a brief that allows us the freedom to be creative. Canberra Health Services are a longtime client of ours, and came to us recently for a new video project: a short film that tells the story of comprehensive care, following a patient's journey from start to finish.
In 2020, HerCanberra commissioned the Newcast team to come up with an updated Brand Film concept for their company. The HerCanberra and Newcast teams worked closely storyboarding and collaborating on ideas that would fit their brand. Little did we know, that a pandemic was going to sweep Australia.
St John engaged Newcast to capture the launch of the product by Governor General David Hurley at Government House, including interviews with stakeholders and survivors of cardiac arrest.
We have a lot of businesses contact us to produce promotional material and have questions about the video production process from start to finish. We were contacted by Queenies, a newly-opened bar in Kingston, to produce a short video for social media promotion. We thought we’d show off our shiny new video we produced for them, while taking you through our production process.
With the event industry still in lockdown, COVID-19 has thrust day to day business into the virtual (streaming) world. From board meetings and AGM’s to industry briefings and virtual events, it’s all online. Today, even the smallest event is being delivered virtually via our configured studio. However, when potential clients contact us there seems to be some confusion between live streaming and video conferencing.
Web design and development is a huge industry that from the outside can look overly-complicated. And sure, it can be. A lot of websites do need the technical know-how behind the scenes to make them operate the way they need to, especially if they're having to run huge amounts of data or support thousands of unique visitors at any given moment.
We’re living in a pandemic, with no end in sight. Events as we know them have had to radically adapt to the new world we live in. So when TEDxCanberra came to us for an online solution, we jumped at the chance to make it happen.
We are now officially living in the future. With all sorts of cameras on the market including mirrorless, cine, smartphone, drone and 360 cameras going all the way up to 8k! We are truly spoilt for choice. In the past 360 was clunky and the picture wasn’t that clear, especially in VR mode.
What to do when you need a revamped website in a tight timeframe – and don’t know where to start? Come to Newcast. Recently, Newcast was engaged by the Winter Solstice Nude Charity Swim, an organisation that runs an annual event on the Winter Solstice where a bunch of people jump into the icy cold waters of Lake Burley Griffen to raise awareness and funds for mental health.
It’s difficult to find a dedicated space in the city to shoot video, photography or podcast…until now. Our sister company Lonsdale St Studio is a 8.5x4M block out, acoustically treated space perfect for interviews, green screen shoots, webinars, photography and podcasting. It’s equipped with fully configurable lighting and there are professional-grade video and audio production kits for hire, so you can either BYO gear, or use our professional crew and equipment.
